Q. What is the 40% Discount New Representative Program? 
A: The 40% Discount opportunity an exclusive “development” program for New Representatives in their first four (4) Campaigns with Avon.
Q. When does the Program begin? 
A: The program begins in Campaign 4, 2016 (Campaign 6 Trendsetter) and will run for a limited time only.
Q. How does the program work? 
A: New Representatives will receive a guaranteed 40% discount on all variable earnings products* (including those purchased by Customers through their AVON e-Store) in each of their first four (4) Campaigns when they have sales of $100 or more in each Campaign. In addition, the new Representative will receive a beauty sample assortment** in each campaign where he or she has qualifying sales of $100 or more. If the new Representative has sales of $100 or more in all four (4) Campaigns, he or she will also receive a Bonus Product Bundle (valued at over $100*** +) in his or her next order+. * Variable earnings products include most Beauty products and Jewelry (excluding Fine Jewelry and Watches) as indicated in the Avon brochure. ** Avon’s newest skin care, color and fragrance samples. Sample assortment will ship in the Representative’s next Campaign order placed on yourAVON.com provided that order is placed within two (2) Campaigns of earning the sample assortment, otherwise the sample assortment earned will be forfeited. *** Based on regular brochure prices. Avon reserves the right to change product selections and/or substitute a prize of equal value. + If the new Representative does not place an order in his or her fifth or sixth campaign, the bundle will be forfeited.
Q. What does the new Representative have to do to participate in this program? 
A: To participate in this program new Representatives must have qualifying sales of $100 or more in each of their first four (4) campaigns. The way in which the qualifying sales will be calculated for the Campaign will depend on if (or when) the Representative places his or her first order on yourAVON.com. If the new Representatives places his or her first order on yourAVON.com, those sales plus any e-Store orders and/or any Avon Sales Center Purchase made before the campaign close for that yourAVON.com order will be combined to calculate the first $100 order, provided those sales occur within the same campaign if the new Representative does not place a first order on yourAVON.com any e-Store orders and/or any Avon Sales Center purchases will count as the first campaign.
Q. Does the new Representative’s account need to be in good standing to receive the product reward(s) they earn during his or her first four Campaigns? 
A: Yes. A Representative must be active and in good standing to receive any rewards.
Q. When will the beauty sample assortments the Representative earned be shipped? 
A: The beauty sample assortment rewards will be included in the new Representative’s next Campaign order placed on yourAVON.com within the next two (2) Campaigns.
Q. When will the New Representative receive his or her Bonus Product Bundle? 
A: The new Representative will receive his or her Bonus Product Bundle when he or she places a fifth Campaign order. If earned, the Representative must place a fifth or sixth order on yourAVON.com to receive the bundle. If the Representative does not place a yourAVON.com order either of these two (2) Campaigns, the Representative will forfeit the bundle.
Q. Do reinstatements count as New Representatives? 
A: No, Reinstatements do not count. For more information on what is defined as a reinstatement, refer to the Avon Independent Sales Representative Policies & Procedures which can be found on the Community Tab on yourAVON.com.
Q. Do the orders have to be placed on time? 
A: Yes, orders must be submitted on time as defined in the Avon Independent Sales Representative Policies & Procedures located on the Community Tab on yourAVON.com.
Q. Do the orders have to be paid for on time? 
A: Yes. For product rewards to be sent, the new Representative’s account must be in good standing (past due no more than $0 USD). Avon may review the new Representative’s account status in the second, third, fourth, and fifth Campaigns.
Q. Are Bonus Dollars included in calculating the sales qualifier for this Program? 
A: No. Bonus Dollars like Double / Triple Dollar are not included in calculating the $100 sales qualifier for this Program.
Q. Do Online Orders, Direct Delivery, Sales Center and Representative Delivery orders count towards the $100 per campaign sales qualifier this Program? 
A: Yes. Online Orders, Direct Delivery orders, Sales Center orders and Representative Delivery orders all count towards the $100 per campaign sales qualifier for this Program.
Q: Since Representatives typically only receive 20% discount on Direct Delivery Orders, how and when will they receive the additional discounts in each of their first four campaigns? 
A: Provided a Representative has qualifying sales of $100 or more at the close of the campaign, the additional 20% discount he or she earned on any Direct Delivery orders will show up as an adjustment on his or her Account and appear on his or her next invoice.
**To be eligible to participate in this New Avon Rep Incentive (40% Discount in your First 4 Campaigns) you must SIGNUP ONLINE TO BECOME A REP on or after January 22nd, 2016.**

Hey, loves! I am so excited to be blogging this latest opportunity that AVON is giving to NEW Representatives! Starting in Campaign 4, when you signup online to sell AVON you will be eligible for the 40% Discount IncentivePrior to this incentive was the Hit $100 Challenge, which was an amazing opportunity. If you signup online to sell AVON in Campaign 3 or before, you will still play out the full Hit $100 Challenge Incentive. 



Here's how this incentive will work. In your first campaign as an AVON Independent Sales Representative, when you place your first order of a minimum of $100, you will receive a guaranteed 40% earnings for that campaign! All orders including those from your AVON eStore will count toward your Award Sales for the campaign. When you achieve this, you will also receive a beauty sample assortment which will be sure to kick-start your business as everyone loves to try before they buy!

Business Tips from AVON's First Rep, Mrs. Albee

Hey, beauties -- How about some words-of-wisdom to kick off your Monday! I, myself, am in need of a few inspirational words. I found these on Avon's beautyforapurpose.com and I believe they will be most helpful to everyone so, here we go!

Mrs. Persis Foster Eames Albee.
This New Hampshire lady, born in 1836, was known for her style and savvy, which attracted the attention of Avon founder David H. McConnell. He asked her to be the company’s first traveling salesperson, and the rest is history.

Whether you’re working to rise through the corporate ranks or are an entrepreneur about to launch the next great idea, we can all learn a thing (or five) from this one-woman powerhouse.

1. Take a leap of faith.
Call it the original startup. In 1886, Mrs. P.F.E. Albee took a risk and accepted an offer from founder David H. McConnell (then transitioning out of the book business) to work as a door-to-door salesperson for what was then called the California Perfume Company. “Mrs. Albee was one of the most successful General Agents I had in the book work, and it was in her hands I placed the first sample case, or outfit, in the perfume business,” McConnell wrote in 1903. Known for her genteel nature and voracious ambition, Albee traveled by horse-drawn wagon, train, or by foot, offering perfumes to those she encountered — talk about some serious hustle.

2. Have a game plan.
Her determination paid off, and Albee was soon hired to take over the daily operations of perfume sales. Of course, she went full throttle with her mission. Capitalizing on the growing popularity of perfume, she expanded her travels beyond her tiny New Hampshire town to the entire Northeast. Albee developed a business plan in which she recruited women to serve as “depot agents,” selling products in their own neighborhoods. “It is, therefore, only befitting that we give her the honorary title of Mother of the California Perfume Company,” McConnell wrote. The strategy was so successful it became one of the key identifiers of the company that’s still used today.

3. Love what you do.
Imagine this: A confident and in-control Albee wraps up one successful sale, and off she goes up the street to greet the next customer and close the next sale. Albee leaned in to her new gig, and the hard work paid off in all sectors of her life. In a letter to McConnell, she wrote, “I know of no line of work so lucrative, pleasant and satisfactory as this.”

4. Always dress for success.
Talk about power dressing! Much like she lived her life, Albee dressed with no fear, making style statement after statement in ensembles such as lavender taffeta gowns with tiered layers, exaggerated sleeves and look-at-me trains. A seasoned and stylish traveler, she saw no reason to dress down while on the road. In 2015 speak, her outfits went viral when the famously elegant attire later inspired a Mrs. P.F.E. Albee special edition Barbie.

5. Spread the love.
Albee’s enthusiasm was entirely contagious. As Avon’s first traveling saleswoman, she recruited other determined ladies to work for the company. In fact, Albee succeeded in empowering women by incorporating them into the mainstream business world 34 years before women even had the right to vote! One of the company’s first employees, Ann Meany, gave Albee a solid endorsement, writing in her memoirs: “She was about 60 in 1985 and was still making trips, working almost entirely under Mr. McConnell’s direction. She was the daughter of a minister and so sweet and lovely she deserves a whole volume just to herself.Today, Avon Representatives have really placed her on a pedestal – literally. Since 1969, the company has awarded highly coveted 10-inch tall porcelain figurines of Albee to the company’s top sales representatives. And yes, it’s still a Very Big Deal to receive one.

The bottom line:
Albee’s story teaches us that no matter how big or small your dreams may be, go after them. In this age of self-starters, who knows where a little Albee-inspired ambition could take you.

My AVON Story: My First Year as an AVON Rep

On January 11th, 2015 I signed up online to become an AVON Independent Sales Representative. Through my shyness, anxiety, and fear I somehow gained the courage to take a huge leap out of my comfort zone and complete the sign up process. It was easy enough to do and it didn't take long. After signing up, I told all of my family and friends about my new endeavor and was relieved to find support. Not only did I gain the support from my loved ones but also from the AVON Community online. There are online forums through your AVON account, full of tips and veterans willing to show you the ropes. There are also Facebook groups to join that welcome you again with more helpful advice. 

I threw myself into the AVON University Online Training Courses, desiring to master them all and soak up as much information as I possibly could to make a real go of this "AVON thing". My reason to start my AVON business? Honestly, it was to do something for myself. Sure, I have a lot for myself to do around the house with the kids and all, but I needed something for me. I'm sure a lot of Moms out there can relate to that! I also started my business because I wanted to earn a little bit of extra money and take advantage of the discount from being an AVON Rep to get some pretties for myself. I never really thought at first that I could turn my business into something truly profitable. That quickly changed as I learned more about selling AVON and I caught the bug to want to get my name out there and make some real money!

Before signing up, I looked into direct selling companies and of course AVON was high on the list. For starters, its legit. AVON has been around for almost 130 years.. they clearly are doing something right. Also, AVON has the lowest priced start up kit in the direct selling beauty industry. Only $15. The eStore that is provided to me to have customers shop on and get their orders delivered directly to them, is FREE. Always. The AVON Foundation that supports Breast Cancer Awareness and Domestic Violence Awareness, really means a lot to me. AVON is giving back in such a powerful and emotional way. And the Customer Service? I love it. If I have to call in about an issue or question I have, no matter whom I talk with, it always gets corrected and taken care of. They do not just write you off. You are not just a number to AVON --- you matter. Millions of Representatives have flourished, not only in a monetary value but on a personal level. 

That is where I have found myself. Family and friends have noticed --- I am confident. I am proud of AVON and what I am doing. I am proud of myself. I have my own business! It is fun, rewarding, and is a key part in defining who I am and what I am doing in my life. 

Since starting my own AVON business I am more outspoken. You have to be! The most interesting take on this for me is just how easy and naturally it came about. I have struggled my entire life with anxiety and depression. AVON has launched me out of my own shell and i'm becoming a strong and more independent woman. 

My hope is to continue to grow with my business and for those who are struggling with themselves in a way as I was... that they too can find that AVON can help them.  I truly feel this way. I was happy before AVON but with it, I am more.  You can be, too! It takes less than 5 minutes to get started and the excitement that fills you will just spill on to others!! I've met so many amazingly helpful and friendly people along the way. Every day there is something new and exciting waiting to share with the world. Thank you for allowing me to share this with you.
